Case study

OptaFit

A fitness and nutrition web app with a calorie tracker, menu scans, and room scans.

01

Problem

Counting a plate by hand is slow, and a menu or a room full of food is harder to estimate than a single label.

02

What I built

OptaFit is a Next.js app. After sign-in you land on a calorie tracker, set a target, and log food by hand or from the camera. Menu scans and room scans use DeepSeek vision, with OpenAI as the fallback.

The intended public address is optafit.asia. The live button appears on this page only when that address responds.

03

What it does

Accounts use Better Auth and the data sits in PostgreSQL. The free plan includes three scans. OptaFit Pro is billed with Stripe and removes that limit.

The public site was not responding when this page was built, so there is no live link yet.
